new year meeting with frozen cold and snowy Estonia
Last Thursday morning I flied out to Estonia, to surprise my mom for her 50th Birthday. Yes, she was super surprised and she was happy happy too. So my plan worked. As it was last minute decided trip I gave short notice call to my lovely friends all over this tiny cold land Estonia and they booked some days with me.
Thursday evening we celebrated with closest family :)
Friday morning was busy with little running around the Parnu and soon it came time to go and visit my most favourite couple in my hometown, had so many things and happenings to catch up. I spend so much good time that I unluckily absolutely forgot to capture some pictures. Same happened with my lovely girlfriend, when we caught up newest news on Friday evening.
On Saturday morning I spin some wheels, packed my things, took 3 winter coats, bottle of water and kicked on the road to Tartu - Rakvere - Parnu - Tallinn.
After couple of hours and little break in Viljandi I finally reached to Tartu and saw my dear H&U and their cutie little doggy Alli. As we were all so happy to meet, we decided to go and take some walk in -25 degrees winter wonderland weather, our walk was 2 hours long. Oh gosh how beautiful it was. The bravest member was of course Alli. Also me and H made some long fun slide down the hill in Kassitoome. Together with kiddos. khm. So much good time and after that we decided to climb up some deep hillside in Toomemae. All 4 of us did more than excellent job. I had tears in my eyes for a moment and this very next second my eyelashes stuck/ frost together as it was so cold outside. How happy and tired we were, when we reached back to home. Did some fast shopping in grocery and H&U cooked nice tacos for dinner.
Well, honestly, we spend some much needed quality time laughing till the 2 am.
Alli having fun in snow
We made some snow angels in Emajogi
In Estonia in wintertime usually the rivers freeze so that we can walk on them. Beat that.
New day, new goals we put some light clothes and went to capture some pictures with our Uni. First I made banana pancakes for breakfast and then we created a plan.
...but first Good Morning from snuggly Alli
Brought back some sweet memories and drunk warming tea in Suudlevad Tudengid/Kissing Students. I just keep repeating that it was -21 and light wind, but it did not took away our excitement to make some fast runs and pictures with bare hands. Estonian crazy women.
Every girl need some vanity, so here are some "behind the scenes"
it wasn't the easiest task to pose and not to look frozen
and an happy smily girlie

If u go to sliding, then of course you support this with swimming in Raekoja plats as well. In Tartu they have made some sweet winter forest with swings and Estonian products to buy. As you see, we made big swings.
Big thank you H&U for warm welcome into your own new home. I had such a pleasure to spend some time with you and Alli :) Little gifts you are guys.
In mid-day, for me, it was time to drive to Hulja, a tiny place in 4 miles away from Rakvere to visit my B. In couple of hours and 5 stops to make photos this gorgeous gorgeous snowy weather I arrived to Hulja.
narrow roads middle of tiny villages
Arrived to B we went to Rakvere to see Rakvere stronghold and take a walk. It was absolutely beautiful to see Rakvere top of the hill with heavy snow and lights.
Rakvere even have their own statue, which was open in 2002 to celebrate 700 years of Rakvere Lubeck urban right.
Rakvere Christmas tree in downtown
When we tried to make a photo with time lapse, marvellous
We had a lovely evening, home made delicious food, girl chit chat with wine and easy movie night, during what I fell a sleep. Waking up after 11am B made us a full breakfast and luckily we had more time to catch up last nights thoughts.
Morning wake up call from Fibi, seems that all my friends have a lovely dogs. But I just must say that my Kaiser is still for me the cutest, loveliest and the most adorable best best best family member.

Caught some blurry winter weather
Some proper cleaning of airplane and ready to take off
Beautiful Norway
I had my connecting flight over there, and I may say, it was pleasure. Good vibes at airport, smart and comfortable. First time flying with Norwegian and I had feeling that I am back in US, such a nice new quiet big aircrafts. Next time I can only hope that I go to visit and wonder around Norway for couple of days.
One blurry peace while road tripping in Estonia, with hours of favourite music accords & beautiful roads.

I made my way back to Pärnu on Monday evening and had a lovely dinner with Mom. We drove around snowy city and it truly was like a wonderland. Thick snowflakes fell down so fast that my windshield wipers couldn't even wipe them away. All little Pärnu was cowered with snow blanket.
It was time to drive back to Tallinn on Tuesdays and visit more friends. I spend some good time with Tanel and Evely and little Emily, who now showing some eye colour and watching in my eyes, but still have this sweet lovely baby smell :) Couple of hours fondle and I found my way to family Henk. Family who I met back in California and we are still in touch and each time I visit Estonia we have been happened to get together and spend some good time. Sipped some nice red and hand made Estonian cider. As they are living next to Kadrioru Park, we went thru the fluffy snow to "ice skating" with kiddos, checked out Kadrioru Castle, where our president lives and reached back to warm home. Have no picture material, as we all left phones home.
Wednesday morning it was time to send kiddos to school and kindergarten and next send me away to airport. Remark: I was digging out my car about 20 minutes, as it was all under more than 20cm of snow.
Just to let you know and make you little jealous, then in Estonia we have one of the most beautiful Airports in Europe, all the national patterns etc. As it was proper snowstorm then airport crew worked hard and fast to keep flights on schedule, therefor our flight delayed only apr 20-25min.
